Florida has the second highest number of EVs after California, but I RARELY see Rivians--maybe two or three times ever. Rivian is choosing where to ship the geographically. Perhaps Florida is a low priority for Rivian for some reason.
Your optimism is contagious! I'm looking forward to hearing how it goes when you *finally* take possession of your R1T! There are several R1Ts on our little island, now, and every time I see one I think of you two!
According to afdc energy.gov, Florida has more registered EVs (a little more than 95.6K) than Washington (66.8K) but Florida also has a larger population, 21.8M v. 7.7, so I think our rate is higher.
And you moved to a warmer climate to get max range, most days! I can picture the two of you salivating the approach of your Rivian! Meanwhile, enjoy your Bolt. After the delivery of your Rivian, do you plan to keep the Bolt for quick in town errands since it is easier to park?
Thanks, Bill! We are salivating! Our plan now is to buy a little tiny three-wheeled, solar-powered vehicle called Aptera. It's a futuristic little two-seater.
I just picked up D from the ferry and saw three R1Ts in ten minutes. 😂🤣
I wonder what the rate is of EVs per 100,000 citizens between Washington and Florida!

Cool! Which wheel(s) turn the Aptera? Looks like a cool car - just stay away from trucks and distracted teens!
Yes! It is small! The front wheels do the steering. :)

Wow! Thanks for your support. I bet there are only two or three Rivians in all of Jacksonville and it's much bigger than your island!
