I recently went through this exercise with my ‘21 Tesla Model Y and my research lead me to the Goodyear ElectricDrive GT. These are the first tires that Goodyear has designed specifically for electric vehicles and they check all the boxes. I’ve been very happy with them.
That's a great contribution to this discussion. It is interesting that the CarTalk guys wrote about those tires but didn't recommend them for any of the vehicles. Their analysis must have ignored tires they hadn't yet tested or something. I'm thrilled to hear you like them. Where did you buy them?
It's a fairly new tire, so perhaps it was just timing. When they were first released they targeted the Tesla Model Y specifically, but since September more sizes have been released that are suitable for the Chevy Bolt and many other models. I got mine at Discount Tire, whom I recommend heartily, they did a fantastic job, and their service after the sale is unparalleled.
